As you may know, professional cycling team Specialized Lululemon, and women’s cycling in general, hold a special place with CSC Tampa. Specialized Bicycle Components has published an interview with team photographer, Emily Maye, along with a compilation of her work with the team. Check out these amazing videos depicting the girls hard at work, both on and off the bike, all riding the best women-specific bikes in the industry. Here is what Specialized had to say:
Emily Maye has been a professional photographer for five years, but only recently turned her lens toward cycling. We’re glad she did. She manages to show not just the beauty of the sport in her photographs, but has a knack for capturing those intimate and real moments behind the scenes to reveal the passion, personalities, and inner workings of life in the cycling realm. The results are as fascinating as they are beautiful.
In December 2012, we sent Emily to Portugal to be a fly-on-the-wall at Team Specialized-lululemon’s 2013 Team Camp. Go behind the lens and hear her thoughts on the experience, and her approach to cycling photography in Part 1 of this three-part feature.
